Hello Readers viewer and anyone else who is listening to this my name is Gagan and today I'm going to talk about our Topic for this term: Energy and our focus: Sound

This Term we have been learning about Energy and in Room7 we have mainly been focusing on Sound. We have done a few experiments like putting liquids on a speaker putting wood on a string spinning it and then swinging it around etc. But most of this is stuff I know because well I have allot of knowledge on this subject,

Pretty much the only things I have learned during our injqury is, Even though apparently there is matter in space sound cant travel through it,when sugar soap vibrates on a speaker it produces spikes,  energy cant be destroyed ,and if you attach a piece of wood to the end of a rope and spin it then swing it around it will make a sound that can travelo long distances.

`Hello to viewers reader and magical floating ponies tody Im going to be talking about AG day. On the 16th (of October) We had an AG day, which stands for Agricultural Day.AG Day is the day were we get to show of the animals that we have been rearing for the last few months.

AG Day is made to teach kids about responsibility,caring,hardwork,and since this is an agricultural school,caring for animals.AG day teaches us about stuff that we can`t learn in class

On AG Day kids either rear an animal (lamb,kid,or calf), or do an ALterative Challenge, (modelling,photography,T-shirt design, or cupcake decoration.Kids this year also got a chance to do Alternative challenges like,(stump design, sandpit decoration,bird houses, and portable gardens.)

One person can change the world

I believe that almost everyone can change the world, but some people say that it is impossible; I don’t think that anything is impossible because the word impossible itself says I’m possible. And when you think about it, all it Takes is one little thing to start something big. If you are still having trouble believing here are some examples. All it takes is one, Sunbeam to light a room, one smile to start a friendship, one tree to start a forest, one note to start a song, one action to start a legacy, one person to change the world.

My inspiration for this speech comes from a presentation I had to do on someone that had made a difference in the world, so I decided to do it on someone I have heard about a lot in my culture, but don’t know much about, Saheed Baghat Singh, throughout my research I was inspired by his determination to make a difference. He wasn’t afraid to put his life on the line if it meant that he could get the British out of India. He was determined no matter what he had to do to make a difference.

If you can’t feed 100 people, feed just one – Mother Teresa. If you want to change the world, start small. If you can’t help 1 million people just remember 1 million starts with 1. When you start helping people you may think you’re not making much of a difference –this is where most people give up, in fact I heard a story which explains this.

There once was a wise old man who lived on a beach, one day he saw a man throwing beached starfish back into the water, the old man asked what he was doing, the man replied that he was throwing beached starfish back into the water, the old man told him that there were miles of beach and that he couldn`t make much of a difference, as the man threw another beached starfish back into the water he said, well I made a difference for that starfish.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed that is all who ever have- Margret Mead. If you think you’re just a normal person, you can’t change the world, well everyone has to start somewhere, like Gandhi he was born on a small coastal town in India, Mother Teresa was born and lived in turkey, and Martin Luther King Jr was born and raised in Georgia America. When you think about it most of these people where born and raised similar to us and probably lived similar lives the only difference is that they wanted to change the world for the better.

So I could go on and on about these things and pretty much write a book on how to start a revolution, but it would be boring and there already is a book about that, and I`ve pretty much got my message through, but if only 2 people understand my speech and then spread it on I will still be happy, so go out there and leave your mark on this earth, go carve your name in the sands of time, and just remember, One Person Can Change The World.

X-rays can see inside you, so do an x-ray on your brain and find out what you really want
You can do anything you want to
Zebra let let selves be known to their problems so If you stop hiding and be like a zebra it might just help you

A lot of this is mainly to do with the right time because if you show your self to a hungry lion it may not work too well for you

Market day

So I`m also doing this post because if I didn`t I would have 13 post, the unlucky number, quite funny how talked sad in my 13th post, without further a do my post on market day. So hows it going guys Today I`m going to talk about market day. Market day is when the school creates a society , We called ours Te Manga Shire, and we all make products to sell on market day, for gongs, which was the name of the money in our society. I was afraid my products wouldn`t sell but in the end I sold out within a few minutes. I made around 50 gongs of profit and i spent around 30 of that. I`m actually planning to start a business that sells plants in real life.

Snow trip

On friday the 6th Septembuary, or early september as it is normally said, our class went on a ski trip in happy valley at mount Ruapehu. When we got there I accidently forgot my bag in the car =O. At the start I didnt know how to ski at all but after some painful lessons I was going down the moutain at full speed :). Since I left my bag in the hudsons car they bought me lunch ;). So pretty much the best school trip ever.

This Term in our maths we have been about learning precentages and fractions, like in one activity we got (pretend) 2500 dollars and we got to spend them in a cataualouge but the catch was all the stuff in the catalouge was certain precentage off. another activity was were we would turn precentages into decimals or fractions.

science project right now

OK im back and I have changed my science project now instead of doing that simple one I did a more complicated one where i test different methods of  getting hydrogen like using a deadly acid using, pointy pencils, using drain clog remover, ectra.So in one of my experiments is to make highly flammable gas from a dangerous acid with ZINC!

Science fair

Hello again viewers, or anyone who is reading this , this term we are having a science fair, a lot of people have good science project ideas, but I think my one is really good. It is on splitting a molecule. You maybe wondering what im doing , im making hydrogen and oxygen from water using possitive and negative currents but to do this I need to add some chemicals to it but I cant tell you what they are because someone may copy it.

Imploding can

Just yesterday (of the time im posting this (29.5.13)) We did an imploding can experiment were we filled a can with a small amount of water in it and when it all boiled out we put it in cold ice water. Even though I  knew what was going to to happen i still got a fright on how fast it happened. I really like these kind of experiments because the out come is really fast and really big.

Smelly Hands Experiment

This term our focus was sience and one of our experiments was, a smelly hands one in which we rubbed our hands on a stingy fish and then we were assigned to a box with different cleaner mixures in them. First we had a baseline smell without any cleaners then we put our hands into the cleaner which were ,lemon juice ,vingear  ,soap water  ,watery detergent ,tooth paste ,salt and ,baking soda. Watery Detergent won.

Pencil Drawings

In term 1 in room7 we made pencil portraits to teach us how to draw and shade. First we marked the edges, eyes, nose, ears, hair, and mouth using a trick with a ruler and pencil. Then we filled in the lines .Then we shaded them. The easiest thing for me was my T-shirt, and the most challenging thing was do in the shading around the face. This drawing helped me a lot with my shading .Here is my picture ( I accidently cropped it ).
